Is the Universe Fine-Tuned for Life?

Abstract

Modern cosmology not only has helped to gain knowledge about the large scale Universe, but also has presented some connections between parameters of the Universe, physical constants and basic characteristic of life. It has been noted then even small change oh these values would cause lack of proper conditions for carbon based life to evolve. There are many views that fine-tuning of the Universe for life has to be explained. According to the most of tchem the problem cannot be explained by science only, so there are proposed other explications of what we call cosmic coincidences. The aim ot this paper is to analyze some classic possible explanations of fine-tuning and to check if and which of tchem are confirmed.
