Abstract

The text concerns three conceptions of religious experience: K. Dąbrowski, J. Fowler and K. Oser. They find their justifications in the psychology of personality development and they are not dependent on concrete historical religions or the theory of religion. Reigious experience is described with the help of the multilevel development model, the stadium development model, and the religious orientation development model. Their criteria are: attitudes, values and consciousness which develop together with man’s cognitive and moral development. Their methodological sources can be found in the personality development theories of J. Piaget, E. Erikson and L. Kohlberg.
