An Ideal of Man in John Stuart Mill Philosophy

Abstract

The goal of an article is to present an ideal of a man, which we can find in the works of J.S. Mill. The article presents elements, which are characteristic for a valuable human being, process of self-flourishing of people and obstacles they meet. It shows also Mill’s standpoint toward the possibility of realisation of his vision of man in the context of society of his times.
